The Art Of Ferret-Proofing

Get rid of your recliners.
Reclining chairs and sofa beds account for 50% of the deaths (crunch) of ferrets under 5 years old.

Screw down every heating grate in the house.
If you don't do this you will eventually have a weasel in the furnace or the air conditioner.

Close the openings under your cabinets.
Not only will your ferrets love getting under your cabinet floors, they will take with them your wallet, your jewelry, your check book, and your socks.

Keep ferrets out of the kitchen.
They will get behind the refrigerator and stove and be electrocuted. They will pull the insulation out out of your dishwasher and choke on it, and they will eat the poisons under your sink.
